WHAT WE DO

BOOK CLUB FACILITATIONS
The Prison Education Book Club organizes a monthly book club within Folsom State Prison and Solano State Prison for justice impacted individuals. They are to read the assigned book and prepare analytical questions to ask and exchange during the facilitation's open discussion. The purpose is to open the doors to gain educational knowledge, enriching deep personal growth and rehabilitation.

EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES
This program allows selected Criminal Justice students from Dr. Fox's class at Sacramento State to fully engage in prison education. With most students pursuing a career in law enforcement and law, they are able to gain a new experience and knowledge that best equips their personal and long term goals.

FUND & DISTRIBUTE BOOKS
In order to successfully continue our program that provides the incarcerated individuals in both prisons with an opportunity for personal growth and knowledge, we need books! With a handful of individuals participating, we need several copies of the same book that are assigned to them. Funding and grants are scarce, therefore we created a GoFundMe to raise money to be able to afford and obtain the readings needed! Checkout our Donate tab for more information on how you can help!
