HOW MUCH OF MY DONATION DIRECTLY SUPPORTS THE CAUSE?
100% of your donation goes directly to the cause. It goes only to books, all the time is volunteered- including the gas that facilitators and interns use to get to the prisons, the time to develop comprehension and discussion questions, and to look for donations and to fundraise.
HOW MANY BOOKS HAVE BEEN READ?
We have read over 25 books across four different book clubs over 6 years in three prisons and over 600 books have been donated or purchased.
HOW MANY MEMBERS?
Currently there are 60 members but it can vary.
HAS THERE BEEN ANY IMPROVEMENT BECAUSE OF THIS PROGRAM?
Yes! Please checkout the testimonial tab to read it in their words and there will be a blog post soon with a research article conducted by one of our interns. But yes, there are plenty of research and articles that prove prison education programs reduce recidivism.
